Tenure-Track Faculty Positions in Food Biotechnology

The Food Science and Technology Programme of the National University of Singapore invites applications for tenure-track faculty position in the area of Food Biotechnology at the level of assistant professor or associate professor.

Applicants should possess a PhD degree in Food Science & Technology or related field from a reputable university. For this position, applicants with expertise in biovalorisation of food processing co-products would have an advantage.
Postdoctoral experience of at least 2 years is required and industrial experience is highly valued. Relevant experience in sensory science is desirable, although not essential. Appointee will be expected to establish an independent research program that can compete strongly for external funding. In addition ,the appointee is expected to guide research students, and teach undergraduate and postgraduate subjects. Selection will be based on applicant’s track record of relevant accomplishments and potential for outstanding future contributions.

Expatriate faculty members are offered a very attractive remuneration package at the National University of Singapore, including subsidized partially-furnished accommodation and 28-day annual leave. Appointment and starting salary is commensurate with the relevant qualifications and experience.
