Polytechnic graduates with good results in an appropriate Diploma may also be admitted. However they have to apply under the University's Office of Admission, local applicants; Polytechnic Diplomas from Singapore
Those without the above qualifications may be accepted but only after an interview and discussion with the admissions advisers
If you suffer colour impairment, you are strongly advised not to take FST major because many course components involves colour differentiation.
Candidates who have excellent H2 level results in pure
sciences may apply for waiver of certain first year modules. Polytechnic
graduates with excellent results in food related courses may also apply
for waiver of selected course requirements.
Applications to FST programme is only open to students who are admitted to Faculty of Science, NUS. To maximize your chance to enter the Programme, applicants are advised to submit your online application form by 15 July 2016. Second round of applications will close on 26 July 2016.

The list of successful applicants in the first round of offer will be posted three (3) working days later, on the general FST notice board (Block S14 Level 5) and on our homepage. Majority of the places will be offered in this first round.
While the applicant may choose to apply for FST programme before being accepted to the Faculty of Science (FOS), any offer made is subjected to one obtaining an offer to the Faculty of Science, NUS.
