Food Microbiology and Safety Facilities
Equipped with advanced microbial testing and analysis tools, our laboratories provide a controlled environment for detecting, identifying, studying, and controlling microbes.
From analyzing human samples to investigating bioactive compounds, our facilities offer a diverse range of capabilities. We also have dedicated spaces for clinical nutrition studies.
Our Sensory Evaluation Facilities offer a conducive environment for conducting sensory tests, enabling you to accurately assess the sensory aspects of your food products.
Blood collection services will be conducted by a trained phlebotomist and will include the following components: use of a phlebotomy chair, consumables necessary for blood collection such as lancets, needles, cannulas, gauze, and bandages. Blood collection tubes are not included in the bundle. Please clearly specify the type of blood collection tubes required for sample collection and complete a consumable request form.
Please approach Ms Yang Dimeng (dimeng.yang@nus.edu.sg) for usage of phlebotomy services.
*Please note our facilities are primarily dedicated to support teaching and research activities within the department; the acceptance of request depends on the availability of the facility and manpower.
