Cheng Tsang Man Professorship in Food Science and Technology

Congratulations to Prof. Zhou Weibiao in winning the Cheng Tsang Man Professorship in Food Science & Technology which was set up in 2021 to lead research address food sustainability and security issues.

Professor Zhou’s expertise is in the areas of food engineering and food processing. His research on diabetic-friendly bread received coverage in mainstream local and international media including The Straits Times, CNN and FOX News. He is an elected fellow of the International Academy of Food Science and Technology, and has been an editorial board member for a dozen journals in the area of food engineering and food processing. He is also the recipient of several teaching excellence awards at both the University and Faculty levels.
