FST Senior Lecturer and Faculty of Science Assistant Dean (Curriculum & Student Life) Dr. Liu Mei Hui has been awarded the 2022 Annual Teaching Excellence Award, a University-level award recognising teachers who excel in their profession, including instruction, educational design, assessment and feedback, as well as wider adoption of good practices in these areas through leadership and support of other colleagues.
Dr. Liu has been teaching several nutrition modules for FST undergraduates and the General Module on Food and Health since 2013. She has previously received the Faculty Teaching Excellence Awards several times for her exemplary performance in teaching and contributions to the Faculty and University. Dr Liu will teach a new module for CHS undergraduates in the upcoming academic year and hopes to continue to design learning and teaching approaches in her classrooms with the goal of changing her students’ mind-set from grades-centric to real learning.
