Note:

  • FST1101B is recoded from FST1101 with effect from AY2021/2022
  • LSM2106 is recoded and renamed from LSM1106 with effect from AY2021/2022
  • LSM3210 is recoded from LSM2211 with effect from AY2022/2023
  • Two new Level 3000 FST coded nutrition courses, FST3204 and FST3205, will be developed and offered in AY2023/2024
  • LSM3210A and LSM3210B are variants of LSM3210 implemented with effect from AY2024/25
  • Minor in Nutrition programme is offered to all students under CHS, including students reading FST as the Primary Major. Between FST Major and Nutrition Minor, two courses (FST1101B, FST2201) can be double-counted. FST Major students who wish to minor in Nutrition will need to read LSM2106 to fulfill the minor requirements. Limits for double-counting will not be exceeded

Admission Requirements:

  • The pre-requisite for FST1101B is any two H2 passes (or equivalent) in Chemistry or Biology or Physics or Computing or Mathematics/Further Mathematics. Students without H2 (or equivalent) in Chemistry and/or Biology will be required to read the bridging courses in Chemistry and/or Biology (ie CM1417/CM1417X and/or LSM1301)
  • Existing students from Cohort AY2020/2021 and earlier are not eligible to read the Minor in Nutrition. Students who are reading a Second Major in Nutrition will be precluded from reading the Minor in Nutrition
