FST Student Fund
This is a donation fund set-up by the FST Alumni Group to render help to FST students who need financial assistance as well as rewarding academic excellence. The first award named “PJ Barlow Book Prize” was set-up in 2006 in honour of Dr. Philip J Barlow for his directorship and contributions towards pioneering the FST Programme (1999 to 2006). In 2009, FST commemorated its 10th Anniversary and the alumni group initiated a second round of fundraising for the fund to benefit more students.
Today, this fund continues to support student awards, and special top-up or ad-hoc request for students in financial need.

Food Science & Technology Fund
This is a general donation account for FST student and education support. The account was set-up during the Programme’s inception in 1999. Donation was called to assist the Programme’s development and student financial aid support. These include financial assistance to students on bursary, awards, field trips, immersion programmes or enrichment programmes. Besides, it is also for additional resource support whenever the need arises such as improving facilities for better study environment or tools to enhance learning and inspire students.

FST Endowment Fund
In commemoration of FST 20th Anniversary, FST and its alumni established a Bursary Endowment Fund with the aim to support financially challenged students in view of the increase enrolment and number of needy students. The FST Alumni Endowment Fund, led by Daniel Chia, was successfully set-up through collective efforts from our alumni, staff, volunteers and various donors and philanthropic organisations who came forward to make this possible. The strong support from NUSS, its senior members, the Tote board and the Government’s matching funds helped doubled the funds raised and enable a stable interest to be earned every year. The spending for all awards can be leveraged on yearly interest and the support to needy can be sustained and perpetual.
