Faculty Positions
In January 2020, the National University of Singapore announced the inception of the Department of Food Science & Technology in the Faculty of Science– an elevation from the earlier Food Science & Technology Programme that was established in 1999.
The new department is Singapore’s first Department of Food Science & Technology in the university sector. With this new department, there shall be a significant expansion in both education and research to help Singapore to achieve food resilience and security as well as to advance Singapore’s food industry.
The Department of Food Science and Technology at the National University of Singapore would like to invite applications for up to 11 tenure-track faculty positions at the level of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor. We welcome applications of candidates from all emerging and interdisciplinary areas of food, human nutrition and urban agriculture domains, especially in the 13 areas listed below. We particularly welcome candidates with research experience on production-to-consumption food systems, food and nutrition security as well as the advances of scientific innovations and novel technologies to address current and future global food challenges.
